Meeting Update July 08, 2010

July 07, 2010 has become a pivotal day in the history of Professionals' Toastmasters Club, as the club has successfully organized "Communication Skills Development" Workshop in the Institute of Psychology (Affiliated with Karachi University). I really appreciate the efforts of our Past President (Mr. Sajjad Zahoor) our Current President (Mr. Fahim-uz-Zaman) and all the other seven (07) toastmasters who devoted their time before the the workshop for preparation and on the day of workshop to deliver excellent speeches in front of external audience.
Moreover on July 08, the club's weekly meeting was organized at Conventional Location (Beach Luxury Hotel), but since most of the toastmasters were present in last day's Workshop and the weather forecast of the city was not good either so attendance was low and only five (05) people attended the meeting. Despite of low attendance, Toastmaster Master of the Evening (TM Hussnain Yaser) and Table Topics Master (TM Sajjad Zahoor) have put up a great show. As all the participants have been given the speaking opportunity twice to express their ideas and thoughts in Table Topic Session. Toastmaster Sajjad Zahoor gave some serious and some very humorous topics to the toastmasters. The second table topics session was purely based on humorous speeches which really made the meeting more lively and interactive.
Toastmaster Maneckji presented his 10th Speech of the Basic communication manual and has joined the Circle of Competent Communicators. He has become the fifth toastmaster who started their journey with PTMC and achieved the Competent Communicator Award. Congratulations!! to Toastmaster Maneckji.
Toastmaster Nazir Vaid was the General Evaluator as well as Table topics Evaluator, who offered good evaluations to all the speakers along with highlighting some areas of improvement. I am sure that toastmasters will work on his suggestion to improve their communication skills.
