KEEP THE CHANNEL OPEN…

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will be lost. You have to keep yourself open and aware to urges that motivate you. Keep the Channel open!!!

We had an amazing meeting on February 9, 2012 at The Second Floor (T2F). Meeting was presided over by Madam TM Dr. Avan and Madam TM Dr. Avan observed the Toastmaster’s pledge. Roles were performed by TM Adnan as the Toastmaster, TM Dr, Avan as the Topicmaster and TM Maneckji as the General Evaluator. Theme of our meeting was the ‘Creative Life.’.


The team of the General Evaluator included TM Tahir as the Timer, TM Fahim as the Ah-Counter, TM Fahim as the Grammarian, TM Dr. Avan as the Vote-counter and TM Maneckji as the Word-master. Word of the day was ‘Vital.’

Winner for the Table Topics session was TM Fahim and TM Dr Avan was the runner-up.

We ended up with the aim of making change to create innovative feelings because we all know what life skills can Toastmasters help us to develop:

ü Thinking on your feet (table topics and evaluations)

ü Listening skills (evaluation, table topics, grammarian, etc.)

ü Time management (speaker, toastmaster, general evaluator, timer)

ü Effective expression of ways for someone to improve (evaluator and general evaluator) especially helpful if you are required to give performance evaluations

ü Speaking skills in both formal and informal settings

The next meeting of Professional Toastmasters Club is on Thursday 16th of February 2012 at 6:30 to 8:30 at the unique venue T2F.

VALUE OF CHANGE…













OUR last meeting was stunning everyone was like embracing the value of change. We must always be looking for opportunities for personal growth, to improve our skills, expand our influence, and make a greater difference in the lives of others. Fortunately, PTC took the initiative for an enchanting change where every toastmaster has enjoyed a lot.

What a start TM Dr. Avan the Sergeant at Arms for the evening took pledge of Toastmaster with the effective new feelings. She then called Toastmaster of the evening TM Maneckji, who griped the lectern and described an incident which has accorded due to new venue by saying ”HOT CHANGE!!!”


TME then called General Evaluator of the evening TM Tauseef, he then took control and introduced his team powerfully where TM Khalid was the timer and Grammarian, TM Maneckji was the word master, TM Dr. Avan was the Vote Counter and TM Adnan was the Ah Counter.


Table Topic Master DTM Fazal started table topic session with boom by giving a big round of applause for welcoming an energetic change. He literally ignited all toastmasters for impromptu speeches and brilliantly given topics related with theme “CHANGE”


The word of day was “CHANGE” as well, among the table topic speakers TM Khalid has said “Man does not change but the feeling does”. The word “CHANGE” used 8 to 10 times average by each speaker… bravo.

Professional Toastmasters Club has arranged the next club meeting on thursday 2nd of February 2012 from 6:30 till 8:30 at new and unique venue T2F.

Persistence is the path to success. Toastmaster is the vehicle you arrive in.

PTC workshop started with great enthusiasm held on 12th January, 2012 at Beach Luxury Hotel.

Theme: ‘Realities of Life’

Fellow Toastmasters:

Toastmaster of the evening was TM Dr, Avan.
Table Topicmaster was DTM Fazal .
General Evaluator was TM Panjwani.
Table Topics Evaluator was TM Maneck.

Sergeant at Arms, TM Dr. Avan started with TM’s Pledge with full of energy.

Every Toastmaster was prepared to take responsibility for any unexpected absence of Toastmasters.

The team of the General Evaluator included TM Maneck as the Timer and the TM Adnan as the Vote Counter, TM Dr. Avan as the Grammarian, TM Maneck as the Ah-Counter and TM Fazal as the Word-Master.

Table Topics assigned by Topicmaster DTM Fazal were awesome.

Prepared Speech: TM Panjwani Evaluated by TM Fahim.

Prepared Speech: TM Hammad Evaluated by TM Adnan.

Important observations were made and shared in the Evaluation session.

The winner of the Prepared Speeches session was TM Panjwani and the runner up TM Hammad. And the winner of the Best Table Topics award was TM Hammad and the runner up TM Dr. Avan.

We ended up with the aim of making next session out of the box because we all know what life skills can Toastmasters help us to develop:

Excellence is an attitude!

Theme: ‘Excellence.’

Fellow Toastmasters:

Toastmaster of the evening was TM Jaan Ali.
Table Topicmaster was TM Tahir.
General Evaluator was TM Shahrukh.
Table Topics Evaluator was TM Adnan.

Sergeant at Arms, TM Tahir started with TM’s Pledge with full of energy.

Although with thin attendance, every toastmaster participated well to keep their motivation up.

General Evaluator TM Shahrukh introduced his team with boom, TM Hammad as the Timer and the Vote Counter, TM Shahrukh as the Grammarian, TM Adnan as the Ah-Counter and TM Shahrukh as the Word-Master.

Word of the day was Extract.

Table Topics assigned by Topicmaster TM Tahir were awesome:

TM Fazal-Excellence is attitude.

TM Ibad: What would your vision of excellence look like?

TM Panjwani: How did you achieve excellence in completing your C.C. manual.

TM Adnan: How to bring excellence in personal relations.

TM Jaan: How can you bring excellence in increasing the membership of the club.

TM Shahrukh: what is the greatest hurdle in your past to achieving excellence?

TM Hammad: How can you bring excellence in your education?

Prepared Speech of the meeting were presented by TM Panjwani, Evaluated by TM Ibad from the Manual: Public Relations, Project four and Title: Building Oil and Ghee Factory.

Competitive part of the meeting by TM Tahir, Debate between two teams:
Team one in the favor of Luck (TM Fazal, TM Jaan and TM Adnan )
Team Two in the favor of Hard-work (TM Shahrukh, TM Ibad and TM Panjwani)

Significant observations were made and shared in the Evaluation session.

The winner of the Prepared Speeches session was TM Panjwani. And the Runner up of the Best Table Topics award was TM Adnan and winner of the Best Table Topics Award was TM Fazal.

We ended up with the aim of making next session out of the box because we all know what life skills can Toastmasters help us to develop:

ü Thinking on your feet (table topics and evaluations)

ü Listening skills (evaluation, table topics, grammarian, etc.)

ü Time management (speaker, toastmaster, general evaluator, timer)

a man of all seasons

The last meeting of the Professional’s Toastmasters Club was on 15th December, 2011. The venue of the meeting was Beach Luxury hotel and the theme of the meeting was ‘Enjoy Life.’

Toastmaster was TM Shahrukh and Topicmaster was TM Bakshi. General Evaluator was TM Fahim and Table Topics Evaluator was TM Nadyeem.

The team of the General Evaluator included TM Junaid as the Timer and the Vote Counter, TM Fahim as the Grammarian, TM Neel as the Ah-Counter and TM Hammad as the Word-Master. Word of the day was Picture.

Topics assigned by Topicmaster were amazing. TM Shahrukh was asked to speak on his favourite weather. TM Hammad was asked to speak on his favourite food. TM Nadeem was asked to share with us his favourite type of dressing. TM Fahim was asked if he likes traveling. TM Neel was asked if she likes to socialize. And TM Annie was asked if she likes to party.

Two speeches were delivered in the Prepared Speeches session. TM Annei delivered her Ice Breaker and she was evaluated by TM Panjwani. TM Aqeel presented his project 10 for the Competent Communicator manual. His evaluator was TM Ibad and the title of his speech was Communication.

Important observations were made and shared in the Evaluation session. TM Fahim, as a Grammarian, shared with us that instead of socialising, intermingling should be used. And TM Nadeem, as the Table Topics Evaluator, shared with us that instead of saying ‘a man of all weathers’, it should have been ‘a man of all seasons.’

TM Jaan joined us late but he was assigned a topic at the end of the meeting by TM Nadeem. He was asked to speak on his Beard.

The winner of the Prepared Speeches session was TM Annie. And the winner of the Best Table Topics award was TM Fahim.

A cup of tea with a friend.

Our meeting on 1st December, 2011, was wonderful. Meeting was called in order by the Sergiant-at-Arms, Madam TM Neel. Madam TM Dr. Avan, our Presiding officer, welcomed everyone including the guests, Annie and Junaid.

The Toastmaster was Madam TM Dr. Avan and Madam TM Neel was the Topicmaster. TM Shahrukh was the General Evaluator and his team included TM Bakshi as the Table Topics Evaluator, TM Khalid as the Timer, TM Hammad as the Vote Counter, TM Adnan as the Grammarian, TM Maneckji as the Ah-Counter and Annie as the Word-Master. Word of the day was ‘Kind.’

The theme of the meeting was ‘My Passion.’ Topicmaster assigned the topics to each participant in accordance with the theme. TM Bakshi was asked to explain that where does satisfaction lies? TM Jaan was asked to speak on the topic, ‘what is happiness?’ He shared with us that we should be happy when we have failed but after trying. He also asked us to appreciate little things in life like a cup of tea with a friend. TM Sameer was explained that life is to give and to get but he was then asked that will he still be willing to give if he doesn’t get. He shared with us a research about people who give back are truly happy. TM Adnan was asked to speak on the topic, ‘how to perform a task for spreading smiles?’ he said that smile is contagious and that it is a little curve that will straight everything else. TM Hammad was asked to speak on how to spend million dollars? Our guest Junaid was asked to share with us his passion and why? He said that if you don’t have passion in your life, it is useless. He said that Skill Development was at the top of his list of passions. TM Khalid was asked to answer a simple question of where does your passion lie? He said that there is no limit to ones satisfaction as there is no limit to the sky. Ones life will come to an end as soon as he is completely satisfied.

There was only one speaker in the prepared speeches session. TM Shahrukh repeated his project eight from the Competent Communicator manual. He was evaluated by TM Jaan. TM Jaan is visually impaired but he read out the objectives and evaluated with the help of writing in Brail.

In Table Topics, TM Hammad was the Runner-up and our guest Junaid was the winner.

Our next Meeting will be on December 15th, 2011.
