point by point



Professionals Toastmasters Club held its meeting on May 26th, 2013. The venue for our meeting was Carlton Hotel. Total 13 people attended the meeting. 


The oath was observed by TM Shahrukh and the Presiding Officer was TM Rafi. Toastmaster of the Evening was TM Zafar Iqbal, Table topics Master was TM Rehan and General Evaluator was TM Parveen. Table Topics Evaluator was TM Hanif who rightly said that a point should be through a point, but, point by point. The theme of the meeting was “Values”.


Roles were performed by TM Neel as the Ah-Counter, TM Hanif as the Word-Master (Alacrity was the word of the day), TM Fazal was the grammarian and TM Motiwala was the Timer.

Two speeches were presented. First speech was performed by TM Motiwala who presented his second project from the Competent Communicator manual. He was evaluated by TM Zafar. The title of his speech was “Seven Features”.

The second speech was presented by TM Fazal. He repeated the tenth project from the Competent Communicator manual and was evaluated by TM Rafi. The title of his speech was “Change.”

Hope



Professionals Toastmasters Club – 01371378 organised its meeting on May 5th, 2013. Total seven members attended the meeting. The theme of the meeting was ‘Hope.’ 


Oath was observed by TM Shahrukh who also introduced the articles of the week:

The Presiding Officer of the Meeting was TM Fahim. Toastmaster of the Meeting was TM Shahrukh, Table Topics Master was TM Hanif and General Evaluator was TM Mujeeb. Table Topics Evaluator was TM Fahim.

Roles were perfprmed by TM Hanif as the Ah-Counter, TM Hammad as the Word-Master (Word of the Day was ‘Communication’) as well as the Timer, and TM Rehan was the Grammarian.

Following are the topics assigned to the speakers during the Table Topics Session:
a) TM Rehan: What type of leadership would you prefer? 
b) TM Mujeeb: For how long we will be listening to the same promises?
c) TM Fahim: Why can’t we live together?
d) TM Hammad: Say something good about Pakistan?
e) TM Shahrukh: Can you see a sunny day after the darkness?
f) TM Danial: Why we don’t have community service in an organised manner? 
g ) TM Hanif: Time Management?



Prepared Speech was delivered by TM Rehan. He presented his First Project, ‘Ice Breaker’, from the Competent Communicator manual. His Speech Evaluator was TM Hanif.

Moore's Law and Aquabumps

The Professional Toastmasters Club held its meeting on 28th April at Carlton Hotel. Due to ongoing law and order situation, only five members were able to attend the meeting. However, few were able to maintain the energy and zest, thus, made the meeting a success.




The oath was observed by TM Shahrukh and TM Hanif presided over the meeting. TM Panjwani was the Toastmaster of the Evening, while TM Shahrukh was the Table Topics Master and the General Evaluator. TM Hanif was the Table Topics Evaluator.



Roles were performed by TM Anwar as the Ah-Counter, TM Hanif as the Word-Master (word of the day was Audacious), TM Shahrukh as the Grammarian and TM Motiwala as the Timer.
                                            
In the Table Topics Session, two rounds were held. Following topics were assigned to the speakers in the first round:

a) TM Motiwala: How to start a conversation with a girl.

b) TM Anwar: How to convince your parents to allow you to keep a pet.

c) TM Panjwani: Life beyond sugary drinks.

d) TM Hanif: Is exercising the secret to a long and healthy life.

                                                    

Following topics were assigned to the speakers in the second round:

a) TM Motiwal (driver of the red car) and TM Anwar (driver of the blue car): What happened next after the blue car hits the red car.

b) TM Hanif: Your mode of expressing yourself.

c) TM Panjwani: What is the first thing a husband should do in order to pacify an angry wife.



In the Prepared Speeches session, TM Anwar presented his second project from the Competent Communicator manual. The title of his speech was, “A dying profession.” His speech was evaluated by TM Hanif. During his speech he shared with us Moore's Law and Aquabumps.
