Hope & Lassitude

Professional Toastmasters Club held its meeting on 23rd June, 2013. Total 11 people attended the meeting. The Presiding Officer was TM Rafi Hyder and the oath was observed by Sergeant-at-Arms, TM Shahrukh.

Toastmaster of the Evening was TM Hanif, Table Topics Master was TM Fazal, TM Panjwani was the General Evaluator and TM Rafi was the Table Topics Evaluator. The theme of the meeting was, “Hope.”


Roles were performed by TM Danial as the Ah-Counter and Grammarian, TM Hanif as the Word-Master (Word of the day was Lassitude) and TM Adnan Motiwala as the Timer.







Prepared Speeches were delivered by TM Zafar and TM Shahrukh. TM Zafar presented his Project 5 from the Competent Communicator manual and the title of the speech was, ‘as luck would have it.” It was evaluated by TM Hanif Sattar.

The second speaker was TM Shahrukh. He presented his second project from the advance manual, Interpretive Reading. He was evaluated by TM Mujeeb.

The meeting was concluded by a beautiful poem of Faiz Ahmad Faiz by Zafar Iqbal which celebrated the meeting’s them, “Hope.”

Moonlight in Summer



Professionals Toastmasters Club held its meeting on June 16th, 2013. The attendance was thin. Only five members attended the meeting but they managed to make it a success. 


TM Shahrukh observed the oath as the Sergeant-at-Arms and handed over the lectern to the Presiding Officer, TM Fazal. Toastmaster of the Evening was TM Parveen and Table Topics Master was TM Shahrukh. TM Zafar Iqbal performed the role of General Evaluator as well as Table Topics Evaluator.

Roles were performed by TM Hanif as the Timer and as the Word-Master. Word of the day was “Tumult.”
The time for the Table Topics Session was modified (3-4-5). The theme of the Table Topics session was “Summer.” Following are the assigned topics:-

     a) TM Parveen: When your air condition is not working?
     b)  TM Fazal: Is winter better than summer?
     c)  TM Zafar: Share any memory related with the season of summer.
     d)  TM Hanif: How to kill time and distract your time during power outage.
     e)   TM Shahrukh: Moonlight in summer.

Prepared Speech was delivered by TM Zafar Iqbal. He presented his fourth project from the Competent Communicator manual. He was evaluated by TM Hanif and the title of his speech was, “Defining the Happiness.”

Real Happiness and True Love


                Professionals Toastmasters Club held its meeting on June 2nd, 2`013. Total eleven people attended the meeting out of which three were guests. The oath was observed by TM Shahrukh and the Presiding Officer of the meeting was TM Zafar Iqal. 


                Toastmasters of the Evening was TM Parveen, Table Topics Master was TM Aqeel and General Evaluator was TM Hanif. Table Topics session was evaluated by TM Shahrukh.

                Roles were performed by TM Panjwani as the Ah-Counter, TM Shahrukh as the Grammarian, TM Zafar as the Word Master [Word of the Day was ‘ex gratia’], TM Ali Hasan was the Timer and TM Mujeeb was the Vote Counter. 

                Three speeches were delivered in the Prepared Speeches sessions. First speech was delivered by TM Zafar and it was evaluated by TM Hanif from the Competent Communicator manual and the title was ‘Legal Aspects of International Transactions’. 

TM Panjwani repeated the 3rd project from the Competent Communicator manual which was evaluated by TM Parveen. The title of the speech was ‘Listening and Leadership’.

The third and the last speech delivered, was by TM Shahrukh and was evaluated by TM Mujeeb. He presented the 1st project from the Advance Manual, ‘Interpretative Reading’. The project name was ‘Story Telling’ and the title of the speech was, ‘Real Happiness and True Love’.


Winner of the Table Topics was TM Ali Hasan and TM Shahrukh was the runner-up. Winner of the Prepared Speech Session was TM Panjwani and TM Zafar Iqbal was the runner-up.
