The New Beginning




Professionals Toastmaster Club held its last meeting before the holy month of Ramzan on July 7th, 2013. The usual club meetings will be resumed after Eid. Total 12 people attended the meeting. The main attraction of the meeting was the induction of the new club officers with TM Hanif Sattar as the new President of the club. We all wish him Godspeed!


Professionals Toastmaster was also lucky as its member, TM Zafar Iqbal, wrote an article based on the theme of its meeting of 23rd June, 2013. The oath was observed by TM Shahrukh and the lectern was handed over to the Presiding Officer, TM Sameer. Toastmaster of the Evening was TM Hanif and Table Topics Master was TM Parveen. TM Fazal was the General as well as Table Topics Evaluator. The theme of the meeting was, ‘Patience.’
Roles were performed by TM Furquan as the Timer, TM Ferozi as the Ah-Counter and TM Arshad as the Word Master. The word of the day was ‘Prod.’



In Table Topics Session, following topics were assigned to the speaker:

TM Parveen: Your experience as a Toastmaster.


In the end, TM Sameer conducted the inauguration ceremony and handed the gavel to TM Hanif as the new President, marking the new beginning for the Professionals Toastmasters Club.

“The Man Who Loved Music”



The Professionals Toastmasters Club held its weekly meeting on 30th June, 2013. The venue of the meeting was Carlton Hotel and the time for assembly was 3:30 pm. Total 12 people attended the meeting, out which four were guests.

 

Meeting was called into order by the Sergeant-at-Arms, TM Shahrukh. The meeting was presided over by TM Rafi. Toastmaster of the Meeting was TM Shahrukh, TM Rafi was the Table Topics Master, TM Hanif was the General Evaluator and Table Topics Evaluator was TM Motiwala.


 The roles were performed by TM Hanif as the Ah-Counter, TM Zafar as the Grammarian and TM Haroon performed the roles of the Timer and Word-master (Word of the Day was Atrocity).


Prepared Speech was delivered by TM Zafar, He presented his Project 6 from the Competent Communicator manual. His evaluator was TM Mujeeb and the title of his speech was “The Man Who Loved Music.” His speech was a beautiful narration of a historical event in form of an exchange of dialogues between Baz Bahadur and Tanseen.
