Raising the roof!

The roof was falling, meeting charges were rising and there was water everywhere. But nothing was enough to hold the Professional Toastmasters Club from holding their meeting on 2 December, 2010. With the appropriate attendance and two guests who have agreed to become our member, the meeting took off.
The theme of the day was “Nothing is Impossible”. Colour of the was “Green” and sign was “Fort”.
The Big Three were TM Bakshi as the Toastmaster of the Evening, TM Sameer as the Table Topics Master and TM Chauhan as our General Evaluator.
Prepared speeches were TM Fareed’s “An Extra Mile” and TM Shahrukh’s “World Wars in 7 minutes”.
Our Evaluators included TM Umer as out Table Topics Evaluator, while TM Sameer (for TM Shahrukh) and TM Haris (for TM Fareed) were the evaluator of the prepared speeches.
Helpers of the day were TM Haris as an Ah-counter and the Word-master (Word of the day was Jubilant), TM Sajjad was the Timer and Vote-counter and TM Umer was the Grammarian.
Table Topics session was a blast. TM Sameer was both, the good and the bad cop. Topics included, “The day when you got in to a fight” or “recall the moment when you saw the most beautiful girl”, and my personal favourite, “when was it when you had the ugliest quarrel with you wife”.

Winner of the Table Topics session was TM Sameer. Winner for the Speeches was TM Fareed and TM Haris was voted the best evaluator.

Our meeting was a success. Even with the roof coming apart and with water everywhere, we managed skillfully and proved that nothing is impossible!
