Impede


Professional Toastmasters Club held its meeting on 5th January, 2013. Total nine members attended the meeting. The venue of the meeting was Carlton Hotel. The time for assembly was 3:30 pm.



TM Shahrukh was the Sergeant-at-Arms and TM Hanif, Club President, presided over the meeting. Toastmaster of the Day was TM Shahrukh, Table Topics Master was TM Mujeeb, General Evaluator was TM Fazal and Table Topics Evaluator was TM Zafar.


In the Table Topics Session TM Mujeeb challenged the speaker to speak as someone form the profession of law (judge, defense lawyer, prosecutor etc) and to act and speak according to the scenario which was assigned to them.



Roles were performed by TM Hanif as the Ah-Counter, TM Danial as the Grammarian, TM Hanif as the Word Master, TM Haroon as the Timer and TM Shahrukh as the Joke Master. Word of the day was 'Impede.'


There were three prepared speeches. First speech was presented by TM Haroon. He presented his Ice Breaker from the Competent Communicator manual and was evaluated by TM Shahrukh.

The second speech was presented by TM Danial. He presented project 5 from the Competent Communicator manual. He was evaluated by TM Hanif. The title of his speech was, ‘it is not what you say but how you say it.’

The third speech was presented by TM Zafar. He did his project from the Advance Manual, Speaking to Inform, and was evaluated by TM Fazal. The title of his speech was, ‘The Rate of Homicide and Gun Sale.’
