Go over with a Bang!

The target was to get at least fifteen people to attend the meeting but we manage to gather ten. Even though we couldn't manage to meet the target but this was a preety big gathering seen after a longtime. The meeting was held at the Beach Luxury hotel on 11th November,2010.

Three guests honoured us with their presence. Mr. Muntazir Ali, Mr. Gibran Ashrad and Mr. Saad Shah attended the meeting and have promised to become the regular members of our club.

Major roles included Toastmaster of the Day (TM Shahrukh), Table Topic Master (TM Sajjad), General Evaluator (TM Iqbal Bakshi) and Table Topic Evaluator (TM Fahim).

Roles were played by all the members and guests present at the meeting. Timer was TM Iqbal Bakshi, Vote Counter was TM Fahim, Grammarian was Mr. Muntazir, Word Master was Mr. Gibran Ashraf (word of the day was Liberty) and AH Counter was TM Junaid.

Table Topics were very interesting as all of us had to imagine the professions which were assigned to us by the Table Topic Master. They ranged from being the personal assistant to the President to the cell phone snatcher. Prepared Speeches were to be delivered by TM Hanif Sattar and TM Shahrukh from the Advances manual. Unfortunately, as soon as we were about to enjoy our second speech, we heard a blast. There was a bomb blast nearby and so we had to adjourn our meeting.
But we are hopeful and determined to continue our congregation and will meet after Eid!
